Aether Nere: Spinning Aether (Wild Ginger)

Aether Nere: Spinning Aether (Wild Ginger)

As is often true of ground covers, the Wild Ginger synthesizes through the air elemental. It moves quietly, but expansively as it covers the shadowy areas of moist woodlands throughout much of North America. The strange brown flowers resemble the Garden Spider and are barely noticeable beneath the lush carpet of leaves. They will take you quite by surprise, as spiders often do.

There are about 70 varieties in the wild ginger genus, but they are not related to the commercial ginger so commonly used in cooking. Medicinal uses include powdering the root and making a tonic for stomach ailments. It has also been said to stimulate the appetite.
