Veteres: The Ancients (Yarrow)
The Yarrow was the first image released as a print from the Flower Spirit Collection, a series of paintings inspired by Jean’s dreams. It is offered as a limited edition lithographic print.
This plant has an ancient history of medicinal uses and was prized by civilizations throughout time. As well, the Chinese used dried sticks of the Yarrow to read the I Ching, an ancient system of divination still popular today. Much of the symbolism in this painting relates directly to the Yarrow’s use in the I Ching.
